Reply to WhatsApp customers in their own language
Speak or type in your language, and your customer reads it in theirs: 56 languages plus Hinglish, from the WhatsApp team inbox. How it works and what it costs.

Building the platform this article is about

A business in Pune gets a message in Tamil. A clinic in Delhi gets a voice note in Bengali. A D2C brand selling across India gets all of it, every day, and the person on the inbox reads two languages at best.
The usual result is a slow reply in English, or no reply. Neither sells anything. Speak and Translate, in the Ohanvi Team Inbox, lets your team answer in the customer’s language without knowing it.
Read any message in your language
Hover over a message on the web, or long-press it on the phone app, and translate it into the language you read. A message translated once is saved for the whole team, so the next person who opens the chat does not pay for it again.
Speak, and it is written in theirs
Press the mic in the reply box and say your reply in your own language. Choose what the customer gets: text in their language, or a voice note. The translated text appears in the reply box, with the words that were heard beside it and a button to switch back to your own.
Nothing is sent until you press Send. If you chose a voice note, you hear it first.
Or type, and translate the draft
Type your reply in any language and press Translate. The draft is rewritten in the customer’s language, still in the box, still yours to edit.
Each agent’s language pair — the language they speak and the one they write in — is remembered, so nobody sets it chat by chat.
Which languages
56 languages: 23 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia and Urdu, and widely spoken world languages from Arabic to Vietnamese. Hinglish, Hindi written in English letters, is offered too, because that is how many customers actually type.
What it costs
No monthly fee, on every plan. Speech to text is ₹1.50 per started minute of speech. A text translation is 20 paise. A voice note is priced per character read aloud: ₹3 for 200 characters.
Nothing is charged when no speech is heard, when the AI fails, or when the text is already in the language you chose.
It works the same in the Ohanvi phone app, so a team member on the move can answer a Kannada voice note in Hindi from their phone.
